An Edgewood Congregation Naples
Valley Free Methodist Church is connected in many ways: - First, we
consider ourselves to be part of the greater, universal church, which
consists of believers in Jesus Christ from across the world. As Christians
we are members of God’s Kingdom, both here on Earth and for eternity.
- We are
affiliated with a denomination—the Free Methodist Church. The Free
Methodist Church is represented worldwide, even though it was established
here in Western New York, about 150 years ago. For more information on the
Free Methodist Church, click here.
- The Naples
Valley Free Methodist Church has grown out of the ministry of Edgewood
Free Methodist Church, originally located in Brighton, NY. Edgewood has
committed to spreading the gospel by spreading out its people and
resources over a greater territory than one church can typically cover.
This has led to the establishment of four separate congregations,
including the one in Naples. Though each congregation has its own lead
pastor and parishioners, all are connected missionally and logistically as
a family of congregations. As a member of the Edgewood family, our mission is to
help people find their way home through Jesus Christ and His word.
- Pastor Adam
Stein is a resident of Naples, along with his wife, Christa and their son,
Ethan. Adam attended Roberts Wesleyan College for the Bachelor of
Science in Social Work degree, as well as Northeastern Seminary for the
Master of Divinity degree. He is originally from Newfane, NY.
Adam served as a pastor at Edgewood Free Methodist Church at the Honeoye
Falls location from 2007-2009. Prior to that, he and Christa
participated in the music ministry at the Springwater Church of the
Nazarene.
- Christa
Stein is an elementary music teacher in the Naples Central School
District, where she has been employed since 2004. Christa graduated from
Roberts Wesleyan College with both the Bachelor of Science in Music
Education and the Master of Music degrees. Christa grew up in nearby
Springwater, graduated from Wayland-Cohocton and was a member of the
Springwater Church of the Nazarene.
