Change for Haiti Minimize
Haiti Provident University (HPU) Well Project: Throughout the month of November we will be receiving pocket change as a special Sunday offering for this well project. The well will be a threefold blessing as it will allow construction to begin, it will help to renew agriculture, and provide clean drinking water. Our goal is $5,000. For more information on HPU contact Scott DeHollander.

Feed Balan Minimize

Food shortages occurred in Haiti last year and ultimately lead to the resignation of the Prime Minister in response to nationwide protests.  The food shortages brought the hunger plight of Haitian children to the front pages of newspapers in the United States.  It is not uncommon for children to go days without a meal.  Challenging this hunger plight is a part of the HPU vision and the newly erected church building is being used to provide a hot meal at least once a week to the children in Balan.

Edgewood’s Missions Team has made a donation to the “Feed Balan” project, which provided over 240 families with a meal this summer. Sustaining the Feed Balan project remains a challenge but immeasurable blessings can be delivered to the community at a costs of $2.50 (US) to feed a family for 1-day. For more information on this ministry or to donate contact Kate Ireland or Pastor Brenda.
